To support grassroots environmental actors, HeYi Institute offers them development courses, trainings, information platforms and funding. Also, we study both the theories and the practices of the industry. Our team has more than 10 years of experience in supporting grassroots environmental organizations. Over the years, we have worked closely with over 100 environmental organizations across China.

Brief Introduction: Co-founders

HaoLiang WU

HeYi Institute’s Chief Executive, Founder of NanJing LvShi Environmental Action Network (an environmental organization), Founder of JiXi Environmental Network (a youth platform for environment protection). Previously, he was a journalist at Beijing News, and the China coordinator for Global Greengrants Fund (GGF). Since 2003, WU has focused on supporting and funding environmental organizations.

LiHua ZHU

HeYi Institute’s Director. She previously worked in Fortune 500 companies, including Siemens, Ford Motor Company and PepsiCo, and has nearly 20 years of experience in marketing, media communication and corporate social responsibility. She was the head of the programme Ford Motor Company Conservation & Environmental Grants China from 2002 to 2007, which funded and supported nearly 100 grassroots environmental organizations.

We wish everyone can learn the skills of environment protection in our institute. With numerous professional coaches in the area of public welfare, HeYi Institute provides various online courses for environmental organizations and other actors, covering the areas of environmental health, natural conservation, green community, and the courses of organization and individual developments. Moreover, we support these organizations with funding and industrial information platforms.
